Rachael and I are both Idaho Falls natives. We grew up here, attended the same junior high and high school, and have been married since February 1998. We recently celebrated 28 years of marriage, and Idaho Falls has always been home. 

Over the years we've had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and internationally, and every trip reminds us of something: we live in a truly remarkable place. It's easy to overlook what you see every day, but the more we've traveled, the more we've realized just how fortunate we are to call Eastern Idaho home. 

My favorite thing is that Idaho Falls offers an incredible quality of life without sacrificing adventure. It's a safe community, it's a wonderful place to raise a family, and within a short drive you have access to some of the most spectacular outdoor recreation in the country.

Whether it's spending a day on one of our beautiful lakes, hiking in the mountains, exploring miles of ATV trails, fly fishing, skiing, or simply enjoying a sunset over the Tetons, there's never a shortage of things to do. 

People often think they have to choose between living in a great community or living near amazing outdoor recreation. Here, you don't. We truly get both. 

After operating our spa for nearly 14 years, we realized we could create something much bigger than a day spa. Idaho Falls has become a gateway to some of the world's most recognizable destinations, including Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park.

Visitors from around the globe pass through our city every year, and we wanted to create a place where they could slow down, relax, and experience genuine Idaho hospitality. At the same time, we wanted to create something for our local community. We know not everyone has the time to take a week-long vacation, so we designed Xhale to feel like a luxury getaway that's only minutes from home. Whether our guests have traveled 2,000 miles or two miles, we want them to feel like they've escaped from everyday life. 

The biggest difference is that Xhale was intentionally designed to be an adults-only experience.
We absolutely love families—we even own another business that caters specifically to them—but we also recognized that adults deserve a place created just for them.

Couples celebrating anniversaries, people reconnecting with friends, or anyone simply needing to recharge can enjoy an atmosphere that's peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. To our knowledge, we're the only adults-only resort and adults-only pool experience in Idaho and throughout much of the surrounding region. That's something guests tell us they appreciate because it's increasingly difficult to find a place where you can completely disconnect, relax, and enjoy uninterrupted peace. 

Most people who know me would probably tell you my biggest hobby has always been work—and they're probably right. I genuinely love building businesses and creating new ideas, so work has never felt like just a job. 

That said, as I've gotten older I've been making a real effort to slow down and enjoy everything this area has to offer. I love spending time on the lake, exploring the mountains on an ATV, and getting out for a round of golf when I can. But more than anything, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our adult children, and our granddaughter. 

Those moments remind me why we built our life—and our business—here in the first place. Eastern Idaho isn't just where we work. It's where we've built our family, created lifelong friendships, and found a lifestyle that we wouldn't trade for anywhere else.
